Hello! Happy Sunday!
Since it will be 2014 in less than two days, I wanted to talk a little bit about New Year's resolutions. Honestly, I never really have had any serious resolutions before and I don't ever remember sticking to them. So I have just basically decided that resolutions aren't for me. If I want to make a change, I do it when I feel like it. For example, in October I was debating on getting a gym membership. I in no way needed to lose weight, I was just missing the days that I was super in shape and all toned up. I did some research on gyms in my area and one day and I got up, put some workout clothes on, and got myself a gym membership.
I love to run and I missed running. But let's be real, I'm not running in the snow or the cold so I need to run on the treadmill in the winter time. Hence the membership. I'm super glad that I did it. I feel a lot better about myself and that I actually went through with it. I try to go at least three days a week. When I don't feel like driving to the gym, I try to get in a workout at home. Plus, one of my friends already had a membership there so HELLO WORKOUT BUDDIES! :-)
I think that you really don't need resolutions to start something new or to recreate yourself. You can change whenever is right for you. But if you do make resolutions, make sure they are attainable goals and they are something you can achieve within a good time limit. Don't rush yourself or give yourself a goal that is nearly impossible. Also do some research on your resolutions. Say your resolution is to eat better this year. Do some research on what is really healthy for your body. Find out what foods you would like or recipes you want to try, then go grocery shopping.
I think that if you can set a manageable goal (or goals) then you can have successful New Year's Resolutions.
I hope this helped some of you and if you make resolutions this year, I wish you the best and go out there and get what you want! Let me know what your resolutions are or what goals you have for yourself. I always like to know what other people's goals are.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

December Favorites
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday! Since December is coming to a close, I wanted to share all of my favorites. (Yay!!!)
1. The NYX Matte eye shadow in 10 Underneath it all. I love this color because it matches my brows perfectly. If anyone out there knows how much of a struggle it is for a redhead to find a brow powder to match her hair, I have found mine. Thank you NYX. (How does a brown powder match my auburn hair? I shouldn't question it. I'm very happy).
2. The Elf eye brow kit in medium. This is a favorite of mine because the duel-ended brush is great and I use the wax basically everyday. The brow powder color does not match my hair color, but for $3 I don't mind.
3. The Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder. Holy Grail product for sure! I heard all about it on YouTube and was like "Okay Kaycee you need to try this" plus it's only about $4 so why not? It's amazing and I love it and it blends into my skin so well. I think I will just keep buying this product forever.
4. Vaseline. It's in my favorites because it's the only product that has been able to get rid of my under eye puffiness. In the winter my eyes puff up because of my eczema. So thank goodness for Vaseline. It saves my dry, puffy eyes.
5. MAC Blush in Peaches. This blush with my fair complexion is so amazing. It's almost like MAC made this color specifically for me. It cost a little more than what I usually like to spend on blush but it was totally worth it. Plus I had never used a peach colored blush before so I'm now addicted. Thank you MAC for my new addiction (lol).
6. The Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original. I didn't understand all of the hype about this product until I got a sample of it with my Naked 3 palette. Oh. My. Goodness. My eye shadow not only LOOKS amazing, but it STAYS ON ALL day. ALL day. Even if I'm at work sweating my balls off. (I don't have balls FYI, it just means sweat a ton). So it was worth the $20, plus a little bit goes a very long way so I have a feeling I won't need to get another one for a few months.
7. The Coach Signature Perfume. I had this perfume a few years ago but it's expensive so I didn't repurchase it until I saw it on sale at Target. I love the smell of this. It's very light and airy but also noticeable. I haven't met a person that doesn't like this scent. It's my favorite perfume of all time.
8. The Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Rose Silk. I originally bought this as a blush, but then I realized that it makes an amazing, subtle highlight. I use this everyday. It's very light and natural looking with a nice shimmer. But it's not too much shimmer. It's gorge! (aka gorgeous!).
9. The Naked 3 Palette. Of course this is in my favorites! You can read my full review/swatches that I posted last week. But the colors are so amazing and beautiful. I can make so many eye looks from it and that's why I love it.
10. The Biolage hydratherapie conditioner. This conditioner is great because not only do I love how it smells, but it keeps my hair hydrated and shiny. This is my holy grail hair conditioner. I have bought it many times before.
11. The Biolage Hydratherapie hydra-seal leave-in cream. This is basically a leave in conditioner and I put it in my hair after every shower. It helps detangle and it hydrates at the same time. I have been using this for years. Definitely a holy grail product. And the bottle lasts me about six months.
12. The Biolage Hydratherapie Shampoo. I love this because it's hydrating (again) and it smells great. I love all the biolage shampoos but you can tell how great quality the biolage line is after you try it.
That's all for my favorites this month, let me know what yours are and if you have made any blog posts/ videos on them, I'd love to check them out! I love hearing about new products that are amazing and I love trying them out. Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you like it. Have a great day!

Sephora, MAC, Target, and Bath & Body Works Haul
Happy Monday!
Well I guess it's almost Tuesday, but that's okay! I did a little shopping today with my sister so I figured I would share what I got. (And I get a little excited by hauls).
I stopped by Sephora just to get the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original (I got a sample with my Naked 3 Palette and I'm now officially in love) and I got a free sample of Lavanila Laboratories Vanilla Grapefruit fragrance. It smells like lavender and vanilla mixed together and I like it.
At MAC (this was my first ever MAC purchase by the way!!!) I got two lipsticks, Ruby Woo because I needed a nice red and Vegas Volt (hello coral!) they are both beautiful colors and I love them. They also look great on me with my super light complexion and my red hair. I also picked up a blush in the shade Peaches from the sheertone blush line and this is also amazing.
At Bath & Body Works I got some anti-bacterial soaps for the kitchen and bathroom because I was nearly out. I got White Citrus, Kitchen Lemon, Dancing Waters, and Peach Bellini. They make my hands smell like heaven after I wash them (and I got 20% off!).
At last, Target. I have a Target obsession, like a major problem obsession. Especially now that they just opened a grocery section at mine. How awesome is that?! Beauty related products I bought are the Clearasil Daily Clear Refreshing Superfruit Wash, it helps with my acne and I have been breaking out like crazy lately so I defiantly needed to get some. I also picked up a foundation that I have been hearing a ton about; the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation in color 805. I love that it has SPF 30 and I can't wait to try it out. Along with foundation, I had to buy some more makeup remover wipes so I got the Target brand cleansing towelettes. They work well for me and they are cheap (lol).
Non beauty related items I got are a Glade scented candle in Apple Cinnamon ( Bath & Body Works did not have that many candle selections today so I will have to go back another time), a pack of Air Wick scented oils in Hawaii (love these, they make my house smell amazing), and I got two pairs of touchscreen compatible gloves for hubby and I. (I got the dark colored ones for him because I know you were wondering).
That's all for my little shopping excursion today! I hope you all enjoyed my little haul. Comment below with any questions or suggestions for me. Thanks for stopping by!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette Review & Swatches
Hello everyone! I know I'm a little late with this one but I wanted to share my opinion on the new Naked 3 palette. I went and got it the night it came out at Sephora and I am so happy that I decided to get it.
The case is really pretty and I think they did a great job on the look of it considering the eye shadow colors are all rose gold/pink toned.
The palette comes with twelve gorgeous shades including mattes, pearls and metallics.
I swatched the first six shadows on my arm ( above, without any primer) and you can tell how pigmented they are. (From left to right) Strange is a nice matte cream color that is perfect for highlighting (although I prefer Venus from the Naked Basics palette, this is basically a matte of that color). Dust is a beautiful metallic pink that is very pigmented, it does have some fallout so I recommend primer and to use a tissue to wipe off the sparkle from your cheeks. Burnout is a pretty pearl and it's an all around great color, I use it for lid or crease. Limit is another great rose colored matte and I love it. Buzz is a darker metallic and it goes great as an outer corner color. And finally for the picture above, Trick is an absolutely beautiful golden/ rose colored hue that I use to give my look a little OOMPH. It is a metallic and it is just a color that looks great on every skin tone. It's my favorite shadow in this palette.
Now for the last six colors. (Also without primer) Nooner is a matte that is even darker that Limit and it is a great crease color. Liar is a rose toned shimmer that is gorgeous as well. Factory is another one of my favorites because it is a darker gold/brown color that looks magnificent on everyone. Mugshot is yet another dark shimmer and has a golden tone to it. Darkside is kind of a tricky color because it looks matte when you see it in the palette but when you put it on you notice it does has a shimmer quality to it. Great for a night time look in the outer corner or in the crease. Lastly, Blackheart is the darkest shade of the shadows and it is a matte black with red sparkle added in. The red sparkle gives the shadow a nice shimmer as well.
I also liked the brush that came with the palette. I love the fact that it is duel ended. It's perfect for traveling because I don't have to worry about packing extra eye shadow brushes if I don't have room. The palette also came with four samples of the primers that Urban Decay has. I like all of them and they work really well so I am considering buying the original color.
Overall, I really like this palette and I'm happy that I bought it. I normally wouldn't spend $52 on one item but I had a gift card and a $15 off coupon at Sephora so it worked out really well.
Let me know if you guys liked this review or if you would like to see some tutorials on different looks from this palette.

Welcome!
Welcome to Beauty From Within! I wanted to create this blog to combine my love for makeup, writing, and giving general life advice. I came across my love for everything makeup and beauty one day about a year and a half ago while I was on YouTube looking for a tutorial on how to wax my own eyebrows (I could never get it to LOOK right). In the suggested videos to the right there were all of these makeup tutorials. I was hooked instantly and have been ever since. I actually started my own YouTube beauty channel but I'm a bit camera shy so we're still working on that one. I thought blogging would be the perfect combination of writing, reviews, advice, pictures, life, and whatever other topics comes up. I hope you enjoy!
