Hello! Happy Sunday!
Since it will be 2014 in less than two days, I wanted to talk a little bit about New Year's resolutions. Honestly, I never really have had any serious resolutions before and I don't ever remember sticking to them. So I have just basically decided that resolutions aren't for me. If I want to make a change, I do it when I feel like it. For example, in October I was debating on getting a gym membership. I in no way needed to lose weight, I was just missing the days that I was super in shape and all toned up. I did some research on gyms in my area and one day and I got up, put some workout clothes on, and got myself a gym membership.
I love to run and I missed running. But let's be real, I'm not running in the snow or the cold so I need to run on the treadmill in the winter time. Hence the membership. I'm super glad that I did it. I feel a lot better about myself and that I actually went through with it. I try to go at least three days a week. When I don't feel like driving to the gym, I try to get in a workout at home. Plus, one of my friends already had a membership there so HELLO WORKOUT BUDDIES! :-)
I think that you really don't need resolutions to start something new or to recreate yourself. You can change whenever is right for you. But if you do make resolutions, make sure they are attainable goals and they are something you can achieve within a good time limit. Don't rush yourself or give yourself a goal that is nearly impossible. Also do some research on your resolutions. Say your resolution is to eat better this year. Do some research on what is really healthy for your body. Find out what foods you would like or recipes you want to try, then go grocery shopping.
I think that if you can set a manageable goal (or goals) then you can have successful New Year's Resolutions.
I hope this helped some of you and if you make resolutions this year, I wish you the best and go out there and get what you want! Let me know what your resolutions are or what goals you have for yourself. I always like to know what other people's goals are.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
